Watch Matty G throughout the festival as he skilfully sculpts animals out of wood with his chainsaws!  At previous Tara Festivals, we have watched with amazement as he has carved two large camels, a tiny emu and a kookaburra – just to name a few!  

The camel Matty G carved out of Iron Bark during the 2017 festival took him 4.5hrs to make and how amazing it was to watch as the piece of art took form.  We’re excited Matty G, who hails from Maleny in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast Hinterland, will be joining us again!

 Find him at the Tara Museum Friday morning, carving up a storm before moving to the festival grounds for the weekend.
