Where is Tara?
Tara is situated 2 hours west of Toowoomba and 3.5 hours west of Brisbane, on the Western Downs, Queensland. The festival and camping is located in the Tara Showgrounds.
By Car
Tara is accessible from the north, south, east and west by sealed road. Please be aware that there is no mobile coverage in this area for those not on the Telstra network. If you are on the Telstra network you will find you have coverage in Tara, but on the roads enroute there are large sections with no mobile coverage.
Note: Some roads entering into the region can be slightly narrower to other highways, with a number of tributary roads being gravel. Visitors are encouraged to drive safely and to the conditions of the road at the time.
