GROUP CAMPING UPDATE (7 OR MORE SITES)
Welcome to the updated Group Camping Guide for the 2026 Tara Festival of Culture & Camel Races. This year, we’ve introduced a new booking system designed to make securing your group’s camping sites smoother, faster, and more efficient.
This guide outlines:
- What your group needs to do now.
- Important changes to the group camping process.
- Step-by-step booking instructions.
- Tips to ensure your group stays together.
1. WHAT YOUR GROUP NEEDS TO DO NOW
Join our E-Newsletter
Follow up on social media and sign up for our e-newsletter here. This is the only way to guarantee you receive the latest updates the moment they’re released.
Get Your Group Organised Early
Our new system puts the organisation directly in your hands. Preparation is essential
Each group should decide on:
- A group coordinator – responsible for keeping everyone updated.
- A group name – all members must use the exact same name.
- Your preferred camping zone – ensure all members know this.
- Clear communication – every member must have the correct details before tickets go live.
2. Important Changes You Must Know
- We will not be holding or reserving sites for groups. As long as your group is organised and ready to book when tickets open, you can still camp together.
- Group organisers are responsible for ensuring all members are prepared and ready to book as soon as practical when sales open.
- If a zone sells out, we cannot make exceptions for late-booking group members.
This new system is designed to save you time - but it relies on your group being coordinated.
3. Step-by-Step Booking Instructions
To make this transition even easier, we’ve created a Step-by-Step Booking Instructions. This resource that walks you through our updated system, explains exactly how group bookings will work with screenshots.
Each group member can book their own festival tickets and campsite, just make sure to enter your group name to be placed together.
